Fredericton has over 35 schools delivering K-12 education programs. Education in New Brunswick is administered by the provincial government through regional school districts and provides access to immersion language programs. Fredericton has one French-language only school located with the Centre Communautaire Ste-Anne, the francophone community center offering theatre, day care, a public and school library with over 30,300 French titles, meeting rooms, and sporting facilities.
Fredericton is home to the University of New Brunswick, a renowned comprehensive university with both undergraduate and graduate programming and St. Thomas University, a highly-ranked Catholic liberal arts college. Both institutions share a picturesque, 47- hectare campus with imposing ivy-covered red brick and stone buildings. Numerous private training institutions, the New Brunswick Community College and the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design help produce one of North America’s most skilled labor forces.
